Screenwriter who created and executive produced the Netflix comedy The Upshaws. She served as co-executive producer on the series The L Word: Generation Q. Her writing credits also include Insecure, Girlfriends, Uncle Buck, Marlon, Are We There Yet? and Instant Mom. In 2021, she signed a multi-year deal with Netflix to create, write and produce new series and other projects.

Before Fame

She attended the University of Georgia where she received a Bachelor's degree in TV Production and a Master of Fine Arts in Drama.

She has co-scripted several television movies including Jump In!, Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam for the Disney Channel.  She co-scripted the Disney+ movie Sister Act 3. From 1996, she was a producer on the series Sister, Sister.
